Thessaloniki Airport to Nea Michaniona: Taxi, Bus or Rental Car
One of the best things about Nea Michaniona is how close the airport is. So close that some of our guests have their first swim before they've even unpacked. Here's how to get here.
By taxi: the easiest way

As you leave arrivals you'll find the taxi rank. The trip is about 21 km. Pre-booked transfer companies quote from around 25 euros for up to 4 people, more for a minivan. On the meter, the price depends on the time (the night rate is higher) and traffic. If you're 6 or 7 people with luggage, book a van in advance.
Tip: Give the driver the address Georgiou Seferi 5, Nea Michaniona. There's a street with the same name in Neoi Epivates, so make sure they hear “Nea Michaniona”. We're happy to recommend a taxi we know.
By car

All the major rental companies have desks at the airport. If you plan to see the shipwreck, Angelochori or take day trips, a car is worth it. The drive is simple: leave the airport towards Perea and Agia Triada and follow the coastal road to Michaniona.

- From the stop outside arrivals, take an OASTH city bus to the IKEA transfer station. Sources mention line 79, but check before you fly.
- At IKEA, change to line 72, which runs down the coast via Perea, Neoi Epivates and Agia Triada and ends in Nea Michaniona.
